I've probably set out to start this blog more times than I can count, but nothing really felt right. Mostly because I have no idea what this blog is going to be about. I have no agenda. I'm not out to sell you on any way of life or lifestyle. Nor am I purposefully setting out to give you advice on travel or writing or your yoga practice. And I'm definitely not here to convince you to quit your job, uproot your life, and go have adventures in far flung lands. Mostly because I don't believe everyone should do this and many people wouldn't even consider it. It's not everyone's path.
So, what exactly am I doing here? How about we figure this out together. I'm inviting you into this strange new world to explore with me.
What I can tell you is that I'm on a mission. I'm on a mission to follow my curiosity across India, Nepal, and Southeast Asia. Start with a question and see where it leads me. A few questions that I asked myself as I began to put this journey together: What would it be like to live in an ashram in India for a month? What kind of experience would I have volunteering to help Tibetan refugees? What could I create if I had nothing to do, if I had no obligations except to write everyday? What sort of life could I have living and teaching English in Thailand?
I suppose this will be a blog of stories--stories full of questions and where they lead me. If at any point in this journey you'd like me to explore any topic further or suggest any new ones, please let me know in the comments. Your feedback will help guide this blog.
Perhaps what I'm about to do isn't the most logical or sane thing I've done, but then again, I don't know if I've made a single logical decision in my life. Looking back, all I see is a string of miracles that's gotten me here. And when I look ahead, all I see are stars twinkling in the unattainable distance. Of course, they might not be stars at all, but fireflies luring me along.
